Assistant Project Manager

We are seeking experienced

Assistant Project Managers to support delivery across a major government agency portfolio.

Working within an embedded client-side team, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, procurement, and delivery of multiple construction projects across a live government environment.

About the Role

You will work with Principal's representative, working across a portfolio of projects to:

• Monitor and coordinate contractor and consultant activities
• Track contractor performance against programme, budget, and contractual obligations
• Support contract administration and procurement processes
• Assist in managing design, approvals, and delivery interfaces
• Maintain project reporting, including cost, programme, and risk tracking
• Facilitate stakeholder coordination across clients, contractors, and consultants

This is a client-side delivery role, focused on monitoring, coordination, and accountability.

About You

• Strong site-based background (builder or major subcontractor highly regarded)
• Experience in contract administration and contractor interface
• Ability to monitor performance and hold contractors accountable
• Solid understanding of construction risk, cost, and programme management
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on professionals with real project delivery experience
• Ability to operate in a client-side role and influence outcomes
• Comfortable working across multiple projects within a program environment
• Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving capability
• Qualifications in Project Management, or, for people with extensive construction / site management experience, be working towards qualifications.
