Position Title: Cook / Food and Domestic Services Assistant - Mixed role

Classification: Food and Domestic Services Assistant (IN14)

Cook, pending qualifications and experiences, base rate classification (IN15)

Salary range per hour: IN14 - $27.07 / IN15 - $28.84 + superannuation + generous salary packaging options

Employment Type: Part-time 30 hours per fortnight

Award: Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025

Role description

This role encompasses 30 hours per fortnight, 24 hours in a cook position and 6 hours in a food and domestic services assistant role. The position of cook includes providing the preparation, cooking and service of food within the hospital and aged care facilities. This includes cooking every second weekend.

The food and domestic Services assistant role provide assistance in the preparation, limited cooking and service of food within the hospital and aged care facilities and provide patient/resident catering/dietary services while providing a practical oversight of all aspects of Environmental Services within the hospital and aged care facilities

Shifts are over a seven (7) day rotating roster.

About you

The successful applicant will have:

  • A high level of communication skills, with high level interpersonal skills
  • A food handling safety certificate II or interest in obtaining
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as be an effective team member
