FACILITIES MANAGER

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Operations Director and leading a small team, this role offers an excellent opportunity to coordinate maintenance activities for the Centre. This position is integral to ensuring all assets are maintained to a high standard, supporting the ongoing safety, functionality, and presentation of the facility.

Working in the venue and event industry means supporting the delivery of events across our event calendar. This means that weekend, evening and public holiday will be required.

You will

  • Deliver preventative and reactive maintenance of the Centre's equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
  • Coordinate and manage contractors, ensuring safe work practices while minimising disruption to venue operations and events
  • Oversee maintenance and compliance of fire safety systems, including scheduling testing and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Lead and supervise the Maintenance and Venue Presentation (Cleaning) team, optimising productivity, training and timely completion of works
  • Manage budgets, sustainability initiatives, and WHS responsibilities including continuous improvements of policies and procedures
  • Oversee the daily operation of the Building Management System (BMS) and Asset Management System (ASM)

You will

  • Have previous experience in a maintenance role, ideally in a large commercial venue
  • Be knowledgeable in building and workplace health and safety compliance
  • Have demonstrated experience leading a small team and ability to use initiative and make decisions
  • Building/Electrical trade qualification (highly desirable)
  • Chief Fire Warden qualification (desirable)
  • Have strong attention to detail with great organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
