360 Underwriting Solutions is continuing to grow and is excited to be offering an Insurance Accounts Officer, within our Finance Group Services team. Based in the Barangaroo, Sydney CBD, this role is a full-time maternity leave cover. The role has 1 day per week WFH flexibility after onboarding, subject to manager approval.

About the Role

This maternity leave cover position sits within our Insurance Accounts Team, and the primary purpose will be to ensure accurate and timely recording of received payments in the system, monitor and facilitate the prompt collection of outstanding payments, and address and resolve account-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Receipting: Ensure the accurate and timely processing of daily receipts and payments, maintaining up-to-date records.
• Manage Unallocated Cash: Proactively manage and minimise unallocated cash balances, ensuring proper allocation to respective accounts.
• Follow-up on Overdue Accounts: Actively monitor and follow up on overdue accounts, taking appropriate actions to ensure timely payment.
• Collaboration with Underwriters: Work closely with underwriters to investigate and resolve any discrepancies related to policies or payments.
• Resolve Account Queries: Address and resolve account-related inquiries from clients, ensuring prompt and accurate responses.
• Collaborate with Accountants: Work with the accounting team to support accurate and timely trust bank reconciliations.
• Support reconciliations, audit requests, reporting, and other finance activities as required.

About You

You will bring:

• 1–2 years’ experience in accounts receivable, credit control, finance administration, or a related role.
• Exposure to insurance, underwriting agencies, or broker markets will be highly regarded.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn.

A tertiary degree is not required; however, previous insurance experience or qualifications in accounting, bookkeeping, business administration, or finance will be highly regarded.
