With an integrated development and construction model, the business manages projects from acquisition and feasibility through to design, construction, and handover. Due to continued growth and an expanding project pipeline, an opportunity has arisen for a Development & Design Coordinator to join the team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of luxury residential and mixed-use developments throughout Sydney.
The Role
Working closely with the Development Team and Design Manager, you will be involved in the full project lifecycle, supporting projects from acquisition and feasibility through to design, construction, completion, and handover.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting with the delivery of projects throughout the entire development lifecycle, including planning, concept design, approvals, construction, occupation certificate requirements, and project handover.
- Undertaking site acquisition due diligence and assisting with feasibility assessments and financial modelling.
- Preparing block planning studies and development investigations using AutoCAD.
- Coordinating external consultants including architects, engineers, planners, and other project stakeholders.
- Assisting with Development Applications, Construction Certificates, Council approvals, PCA approvals, and authority requirements.
- Reviewing design documentation and ensuring coordination between consultants and construction teams.
- Identifying design risks, inconsistencies, and coordination issues, and facilitating practical solutions.
- Supporting value engineering initiatives and design optimisation opportunities.
- Assisting with procurement activities, quantity take-offs, and project cost reviews.
- Working closely with the construction team to resolve buildability challenges and RFIs.
- Reviewing shop drawings and construction documentation.
- Supporting project marketing initiatives and ensuring design intent is maintained throughout delivery.
- Maintaining accurate project records and ensuring effective management of project information.
- Contributing to the implementation of best-practice design processes and standards across multiple projects.
About You
- A degree in Property, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience within property development, architecture, design management, project management, or construction.
- Strong understanding of the development and design process across residential projects.
- Experience interpreting architectural and consultant documentation.
- Exposure to planning approvals, DA and CC processes, and construction delivery.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.
- A genuine passion for high-end residential development and design.
