Our 3-2-1 Hybrid Working Model

  • 3 days from anywhere in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand per week,
  • 2 days from an RACP office location per week,
  • 1 of the two days per week in office spent with your team.

The Role

The Senior Executive Officer (SEO), SA/NT is responsible for leading the operational delivery of RACP services in South Australia and the Northern Territory, ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience for Fellows and Trainees.

The role provides strategic and operational support to State Committees, manages regional service delivery (outreach with training, supervision, CPD, events, and member engagement), and ensures alignment with national strategies, policies, and standards.

Reporting to the Manager, Regions, the SEO plays a key role in translating College-wide initiatives into SA and NT-specific delivery and contributing SA and NT insights into national planning.

Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the SA/NT team to deliver high-quality, consistent member services
  • Oversee training, CPD, events, and engagement activities aligned to national standards
  • Act as the primary communication link between the College and SA/NT members
  • Provide secretariat and governance support to State Committees and Chairs
  • Ensure regional priorities align with College strategy and capacity
  • Build and manage key stakeholder relationships across health systems and training networks
  • Identify, escalate, and represent regional issues in relevant forums
  • Support regional, rural and remote (RRR) initiatives and ensure inclusive member engagement
  • Contribute to national strategy, cross-regional collaboration, and program implementation

To succeed in this role, you will bring a blend of leadership capability, stakeholder focus and operational excellence. You will demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, management or relevant field.
  • Knowledge or experience working in the field of medical workforce and training.
  • Experience in effective management of a small team, with a commitment to performance improvement.
  • Experience delivering Secretariat services to Committees, including agenda, minutes and action point follow up.
  • Proven high level planning, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to foster strong cooperative working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills delivering competing priorities on time, on budget and to the satisfaction of key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated financial management skills, including budget oversight and resource allocation
