This well-loved fashion retailer has a large national presence and loyal customer base. They have an opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to support their leaders and teams with HR strategies that drive commercial results, build capability, and offer expert advice on workplace relations.

Reporting to the Group People Manager, your focus will be providing support and advice with a focus on leading on complex workplace relations matters, ensuring the business is always compliant with workplace laws, modern awards, and industrial agreements. You will need to juggle both strategic and hands-on priorities in a busy retail environment, while coaching and developing leaders and supporting teams right across the business.

What you will do

  • Partner with managers to provide proactive, commercially-minded coaching and advice
  • Coach leaders to build their skills in performance management, conduct, and team effectiveness
  • Lead complex workplace relations matters from start to finish, including investigations, performance management, and terminations
  • Offer expert guidance on interpreting and applying modern awards and Fair Work legislation
  • Support leaders in managing workplace relations issues
  • Work with leaders to drive initiatives that strengthen our culture, inclusion, and team effectiveness
  • Support organisational change across the Group
  • Help develop People & Culture programs that boost engagement and culture

What you will bring

  • Experience in a HR Partner, Business Partner, or Senior HR Advisor role
  • A strong track record managing complex employee matters end-to-end
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR or a related field
  • Deep knowledge of Australian employment law, Fair Work legislation, and modern awards and the ability to apply them in practice
  • Experience supporting large, multi-site teams
  • The ability to build strong, trusted relationships across the business
  • Strategic thinking, commercial awareness, and advanced MS Office skills
