Your new role

Act as part of a high-profile Defence program supporting the C4ISR Design Authority within the Department of Defence. You will be working within a specialist directorate responsible for ensuring the successful integration and assurance of autonomous systems and AI technologies across the Joint Force.

Coming from a Senior Systems Engineering background, you will provide expert-level systems engineering support focused on AI and Autonomous Systems Assurance.

• Delivering systems engineering support across complex Defence environments
• Providing technical assurance for AI and autonomous systems integration
• Developing and maintaining system architectures, models, and design artefacts
• Supporting the development of standards, frameworks, and design guidance
• Contributing to project reviews, assessments, and governance activities
• Producing monthly deliverables and technical reports
• Engaging with stakeholders and contributing to briefings for senior decision-makers
• You will operate within a model-based systems engineering (MBSE) environment, underpinning design and assurance activities

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience as a Systems Engineer (Level 3 or Level 4 equivalent)
• Strong background in Defence, national security, or complex regulated environments
• C4ISR systems and interoperability
• AI and/or autonomous systems integration or assurance
• Hands-on capability in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Strong stakeholder engagement and technical advisory skills
• Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and deliverables
• A current PV clearance (mandatory)
