About the organisation

Our client is a long-established Victorian for-purpose organisation that has spent more than a century removing barriers to personal development and social inclusion for children and young people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Through advocacy, family support, education and pathways to employment, the organisation inspires and empowers young people to achieve independence, confidence and economic inclusion.

Backed by a strong leadership team and an ambitious fundraising strategy, the organisation is investing in corporate partnerships as a key growth area and is now seeking a driven partnerships professional to lead the charge.

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the Corporate Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for developing, managing and growing the organisation’s portfolio of corporate partnerships. The focus is on building mutually beneficial relationships across the corporate sector to generate income, increase awareness and contribute to the organisation’s mission, through sponsorships, workplace giving, cause-related marketing and strategic partnerships.

This is a genuinely sales-oriented role. You will identify and research target partners whose values align with the organisation’s mission, get past the gatekeepers to reach decision-makers, and turn cold prospects into long-term advocates. You will prepare targeted proposals and pitches, negotiate sponsorship arrangements, and then steward those relationships with the kind of ongoing communication and impact reporting that drives renewal and uplift.

You will work closely with the Marketing and Communications team on partnership campaigns, activations and event participation, manage the CRM pipeline and revenue forecasts, and contribute to broader fundraising initiatives and organisational priorities.

Work arrangements

The role is offered on a Full-Time basis. It is based at the organisation’s St Kilda Road office, with one work-from-home day per week and flexibility around partner meetings and external events. On-site car parking is available.

The arrangement is well-suited to a fundraising professional looking for a focused, meaningful role with genuine work–life balance.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

· Strong experience in corporate fundraising, corporate partnerships or business development, ideally combining a corporate sales mindset with a strong understanding of the not-for-profit sector.

· A demonstrated track record of identifying corporate prospects, breaking through to key decision-makers, and converting them into committed partners against income targets.

· Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing, communications, fundraising or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

· Strong proposal, presentation and negotiation skills, with the confidence to represent the organisation in front of senior corporate stakeholders.

· Excellent relationship management and stewardship instincts, the ability to build trust quickly and sustain it over the long term.

· Strong organisational and project management capability, with the discipline to manage a pipeline, multiple campaigns and tight deadlines concurrently.

· High proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite, and confidence using data to inform pipeline strategy and reporting.

· Genuine alignment with the organisation’s purpose and respect for Deaf culture and the deaf and hard-of-hearing community (knowledge of these communities will be highly regarded).

· Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain), and a valid working visa.

· Open to learning Auslan
