Role We are seeking an experienced M365 Support Engineer to support a federal government organisation in the administration, support, and continuous improvement of Microsoft 365 services. The role involves supporting end users and business units across a wide range of M365 platforms including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and Entra ID, while contributing to service reliability, incident resolution, and platform enhancement activities. Employment Type and Duration: Open for both Contract and Permanent Work Model: Hybrid Location: Reid, Canberra Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Level 3 support for Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Intune.
  • Manage and resolve incidents and service requests across enterprise M365 environments.
  • Support identity and access management using Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Microsoft security controls.
  • Administer and support Microsoft security and compliance tools including Microsoft Purview, Information Protection, and DLP.
  • Support endpoint management and application deployment using Intune, MECM, and Windows 365 (W365) environments.
  • Assist with application packaging and deployment (Win32, native, and virtual applications).
  • Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and escalation support across M365 platforms.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, knowledge base articles, and support procedures.
  • Collaborate with hybrid and multi-location teams to deliver consistent service outcomes.
  • Participate in on-call roster during shutdown or critical support periods if required. Required Skills & Experience
  • 2+ years' experience supporting Microsoft 365 technologies including Entra ID, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, and Intune.
  • Experience working in managed ICT services, service providers, or enterprise ICT support environments.
  • Experience providing desktop or endpoint support in large enterprise environments.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft security, compliance, governance, and identity services.
  • Experience with MECM / SCCM and Windows 365 (W365) environments highly regarded.
  • Exposure to application packaging (Win32, native, or virtual applications).
  • Some experience with PowerShell scripting or automation.
  • Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to support end users and stakeholders effectively. Qualifications & Clearance
  • Must be an Australian Citizen.
  • Minimum NV1 AGSVA Security Clearance required.
  • Experience working within Defence or large government environments highly regarded.
