Our client is a highly respected commercial construction company delivering large-scale new build projects across Perth. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Document Controller to join their team.

As a Document Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient document management across multiple construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage all project documentation throughout the full project lifecycle using Aconex (essential).
  • Establish and maintain document control systems, project folders, workflows, registers, and filing structures.
  • Coordinate the issue, receipt, distribution, and tracking of drawings, RFIs, specifications, ITPs, technical documents, and project correspondence.
  • Prepare and manage transmittals, ensuring stakeholders always have access to the latest approved documentation.
  • Maintain strict document quality standards, including version control, revision management, compliance checks, and audit readiness.
  • Act as the central point of coordination for document flow between project teams, manufacturing, site personnel, consultants, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Support Project Managers, Engineers, and Design Teams by managing submissions and meeting critical project deadlines.
  • Generate and maintain project reports, document registers, dashboards, and status updates for leadership and project stakeholders.
  • Provide user support, onboarding, and training for project teams using Aconex and other project management systems.

About you:

  • 5+ years’ experience in project administration and/or document control, ideally within the construction, engineering, manufacturing, or project delivery sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience using Aconex or similar document management systems.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • A current driver's licence and reliable transport.
  • A qualification in Business Administration or a related discipline (desirable).
