What You Will Be Doing
In this role, youll play a key part in providing end-to-end project contract advisor support, combining hands-on project engagement with internal stakeholders and deep expertise in Australian procurement contracts. Your role will include:
- Drafting, negotiating, and executing project agreements in line with company standards and governance requirements
- Supporting procurement processes from scoping and design through to contract award and handover
- Facilitating contractor kick-off, progress, and handover meetings to ensure contractual obligations are met
- Identifying commercial opportunities and applying sound commercial principles to drive favourable outcomes
- Managing contract administration, including dispute resolution, supplier onboarding, payment term oversight, and insurance compliance
- Collaborating with Commercial, Legal, and Accounts teams to maintain alignment and resolve issues efficiently
- Coaching and mentoring project teams on procurement policies and processes
- Driving process improvements within the Finance & Contracts function to enhance productivity and outcomes
What You Will Need
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Law, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience
- Extensive experience in mining contract supply negotiation and procurement
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and leverage opportunities
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to influence at all levels
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a solutions-focused mindset
- Proficiency in contract administration and governance processes
- Current drivers licence and reliable transport
