About The Role

We are looking for a senior software engineer with native iOS app development experience to join our team, based in Sydney, Australia. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining mobile apps used to control various networked audio players developed by Harman Lifestyle - Sound United SBU.

The Sydney team currently operates in a hybrid mode where they work out of the Chatswood office 2 days a week.

What You Will Do

• Analysing requirements
• Implementing new features
• Architecting and re-architecting code and projects
• Development testing
• Collaborating with local and remote team members (Japan, UK, US)
• Providing technical feedback
• Code reviews
• Researching (APIs, Tools, Features)
• Using version control tools
• Managing assigned Sprint tasks
• Bug fixing and maintenance

What You Need To Be Successful

• Swift and Objective-C experience
• SwiftUI and UIKit experience
• Good understanding of Xcode (Projects, Targets, Instruments, Simulator)
• Good understanding of software design principals, patterns
• Good understanding of version control systems (Git)
• Experience using 3rd party software libraries and frameworks
• Experience using web service APIs
• Knowledge of iOS Human Interface Guidelines
• Good written and verbal communication
• Self-motivation and leadership ambitions

• C++, Python
• Dependency managers (Swift Packages, CocoaPods)
• Build systems (xcodebuild, CMake)
• Creating XCFrameworks
• Automated testing (XCTest)
