Where you'll be working
You will be based at Ryde Hospital within the Ryde Hospital Redevelopment (RHR) team, part of Northern Sydney Local Health District. The role works closely with Health Infrastructure, the project delivery team (TSA), and a wide range of clinical and non-clinical stakeholders across the hospital.
Ryde Hospital is having an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community.
The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and much more.
Construction commenced in early 2023, and will provide you with a wonderful and exciting opportunity to be part of the Ryde team to change the future health services for the Ryde Community completely.
What You'll Be Doing
The primary purpose of the role is to work in collaboration with the Ryde Hospital Redevelopment (RHR) team, Health Infrastructure (HI) and the project team (TSA) to ensure the Ryde Hospital Redevelopment (RHR) meets the functional requirements of the stakeholders.
The Furniture, Fittings and Equipment (FF&E) Project Manager (PM) will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to facilitate the procurement, management and commissioning of FF&E. This activity requires liaison and negotiation with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders at Ryde to ensure the FF&E requirements are delivered. The role is responsible for managing the transfer of current FF&E to the new development as well as monitoring and reporting on the FFE budget. The PM will be required to escalate to Redevelopment Manager and Ryde Executive regarding FFE and MME that is outside of the redevelopment scope and is a capital cost for the LHD. The Project manager will assist, coordinate and support, through administrative duties and scheduling, the project user group meetings and working groups as required.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in a health-related/management field or equivalent experience.
- Describe your experience coordinating the planning and commissioning of FF&E or similar components within a health or complex capital project. What were the key challenges and how did you manage them?
- Provide an example of how you have managed diverse stakeholders and facilitated decision-making across multidisciplinary groups within tight timeframes.
- Detail your experience managing procurement processes and financial tracking, including your use of systems such as Excel, dRofus or similar tools to support reporting and budget management.
- Demonstrated capacity to coordinate the planning and commissioning of health services capital projects including Furniture, Fittings and Equipment (FF&E).
- Demonstrated capacity to manage multidisciplinary groups, including the possession of highly developed negotiation skills and the ability to facilitate group decision-making within tight timeframes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience writing complex reports and correspondence and high level proficiency in the use of Microsoft excel and other databases relevant to equipment procurement and management, or the ability to quickly attain these skills. Working knowledge of dRofus system, TRIM and Excel.
