The Role
Bring your Category Management expertise to shape exceptional customer experiences while driving revenue and category profit growth.
As a convenience category specialist, you will collaborate cross-functionally to deliver an optimised customer journey and take ownership of category planning and ranging, pricing and promotions, supplier relationship management, and negotiation.
What You’ll Do
Drive growth in revenue (including NRI & back margin) and category profit, via the use of master data analytics, customer insight and Joint Business Plans delivering growth & market share increases.
Work cross functionally & collaboratively to deliver an optimised customer journey, driving customer penetration, frequency & ATV.
Be accountable for inventory/working capital management to deliver KPIs.
Work closely with the Assistant Category Manager to ensure business priorities are delivered in a timely & accurate manner.
Maintain a solid understanding of the performance of your category and provide insightful updates to weekly meetings.
From time to time, work within project teams that will deliver specific objectives within a finite time frame.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years’ experience in retail category management
Thorough knowledge of the FMCG industry and convenience category
Proven experience managing successful supplier relationships
Previous experience in team management is a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical & ability to translate customer/market insight into category plans driving profit growth
