About The Role

We're building next-generation AI systems for aviation and autonomous flight — and we need people who actually understand what's happening on the radio. If you've logged hours in the cockpit, worked a radar scope, or simply live on LiveATC, this is your opportunity to put that expertise to work in a meaningful way.

This is not generic transcription. This is specialized, high-stakes audio work that directly improves AI systems used in aviation safety and autonomy.

  • Organization: Alignerr (Powered by Labelbox)
  • Type: Hourly / Task-Based Contract
  • Location: Fully Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Transcribe real-world Air Traffic Control (ATC) and pilot audio recordings with precision
  • Label speakers, callsigns, clearances, readbacks, and instructions accurately
  • Capture aviation-specific terminology, abbreviations, and standard phraseology correctly
  • Work on flexible, task-based assignments at your own pace
  • Consistently meet quality and accuracy benchmarks — precision is critical here

Who You Are

You're a strong fit if you are:

  • A licensed pilot, student pilot, Air Traffic Controller, or aviation professional
  • An aviation enthusiast with a solid grasp of ATC communications and radio phraseology
  • Someone who regularly listens to live ATC feeds and understands what's being said
  • Extremely detail-oriented and patient with noisy, fast-paced audio
  • Reliable and self-motivated when working independently

You do not need to be a professional transcriptionist — but you do need to understand aviation radio communications.

Nice to Have

  • FAA or ICAO knowledge and familiarity with standard phraseology
  • Experience with LiveATC, ForeFlight, or similar aviation tools
  • Background in aviation operations, dispatch, or flight instruction
