The acquisition of conventionally-armed, nuclear-powered submarines is an historic and transformative endeavour for Australia. As an APS 6 Recruitment Manager, you will play a key role in shaping recruitment outcomes while working with a high level of autonomy and accountability. You will be empowered to take initiative, apply sound judgement, and navigate complex policies and procedures to deliver high-quality results.
In this role, you will provide expert recruitment advice on complex matters, collaborating with stakeholders and contributing to broader strategic priorities. You will also have the opportunity to influence workforce outcomes through involvement in planning, program and project management, and policy development.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Take ownership of the quality and integrity of recruitment data and records, ensuring accuracy and compliance across the Agency’s e-Recruitment and HR information systems
- Build strong, collaborative relationships by anticipating and responding to stakeholder needs, helping deliver successful outcomes for both your team and the Australian Submarine Agency
- Engage with a wide range of stakeholders to share insights, navigate complex recruitment matters, and influence informed, effective hiring decisions
- Apply your knowledge of legislation, policies, and procedures to resolve complex recruitment issues and determine the most appropriate course of action
- Coordinate and manage recruitment activities end-to-end, including making informed decisions on recruitment requests and ensuring selection outcomes are processed accurately and in line with established procedures
