About the Role

We are seeking a Ward Clerk to join our Prison Mental Health Services team. This role provides high-quality administrative support to multidisciplinary teams across various prison locations. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate health records, managing patient admissions and discharges, and supporting clinical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collate and maintain patient health records in line with Forensicare and Justice Health policies.
• Register, admit, and discharge patients using the CMI/RAPID system with high data accuracy.
• Schedule outpatient appointments and assist with reporting requirements.
• Provide administrative support including filing, scanning, and managing correspondence.
• Act as a central contact for internal and external enquiries.
• Support the team with office supplies and equipment maintenance.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Experience providing administrative support in a health or mental health setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with CMI/RAPID.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
