We are inviting Expressions of Interest from experienced Senior Project Engineers (civil) to join our Brisbane-based team supporting a large-scale industrial site remediation project. This is an opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of technically complex works within a challenging and dynamic environment.

About the Project

• This project involves the remediation of a legacy industrial site requiring significant earthworks and environmental management to enable future redevelopment. Key elements include:
• High-volume bulk excavation works (in excess of 200,000m³) to significant depths
• Implementation of engineered containment systems
• Management of shallow groundwater conditions requiring extensive dewatering
• Large-scale offsite disposal of impacted material and import of validated clean fill
• A multi-stage delivery programme over approximately 18–24 months

The Opportunity

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key role in coordinating and delivering core project scopes, ensuring alignment between design, construction, and project objectives. You will support the project leadership team by driving efficient delivery, managing technical interfaces, and maintaining control across engineering activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of allocated work packages, ensuring delivery aligns with scope, programme, and cost targets
• Translate design documentation into practical construction approaches and sequencing
• Provide day-to-day engineering support to site teams, resolving technical issues as they arise
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to achieve planned outcomes
• Prepare and review construction methodologies, staging plans, and technical submissions
• Manage project documentation, including RFIs, variations, and as-built records
• Monitor and report on progress, productivity, and performance of assigned scopes
• Identify risks and constraints early and implement mitigation strategies
• Work collaboratively with SHEQ, environmental, and commercial teams to support overall project outcomes

About You

• Demonstrated experience in a Senior Project Engineer or similar role within civil construction or environmental remediation
• Strong background in earthworks, ground engineering, or complex site-based delivery
• Experience managing significant material movements and challenging site conditions
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving capability
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
• Clear and confident communication skills across site and stakeholder interfaces
