  • Providing expert advice of planning legislation, local planning schemes, and regulatory requirements relating to proposed development sites.
  • Conducting detailed assessments of planning controls and identifying opportunities, risks, and potential pathways for site development.
  • Working closely with external planners, consultants, councils, and other stakeholders to gather, assess, and communicate high-quality planning information.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders across the business to support site acquisition, development proposals, and strategic decision-making.
  • Taking ownership of planning investigations and ensuring projects continue to progress toward commercial outcomes.
  • Undertaking travel across Australia to inspect potential development opportunities and assess site suitability.

Skills And Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Town Planning, or a related discipline.
  • At least five years' experience in a professional planning role.
  • Experience working within a private consultancy, local government, state government, or a similar planning environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately interpret planning legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • A results-driven approach with demonstrated experience managing competing priorities and delivering outcomes within required timeframes.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • A current driver's licence.

Why Join Bishopp?

We believe that when the business grows, our people grow too. This is an opportunity to join a successful and expanding organisation where your expertise will directly influence the delivery of new development opportunities across Australia.
