About the Role

MTC has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Health and Wellbeing Consultant to join our Employment Services team at located across the Hurstville region including Caringbah, Hurstville & Kogarah.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Health and Wellbeing Consultant will focus on offering a range of allied health supports to our participants in the IEA program. These supports include employment focused counselling, facilitating referrals to external support services and delivering engaged programs and activities that promote social connection, learning and job readiness. The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Delivering tailored support sessions to participants, focusing on personal development, wellbeing and goal achievement.
  • Designing and facilitating group sessions or workshops aimed at enhancing life skills and wellbeing.
  • Supporting clients in accessing additional internal or external services as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential client records and documentations.
  • Collaborating with practitioners through case discussions to share insights and develop coordinated strategies that support participants in overcome their barriers.
  • Ensuring compliance with all MTC’s policies and procedures and relevant regulatory and contractual IEA obligations.
  • Perform other duties as required.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychotherapy, Social Work with a current professional registration.
  • Proven experience applying trauma-informed, person-centred and integrative approaches.
  • Passion for inclusive employment and supporting people with disability.
  • Experience within the employment or community services sector
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-driven with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
  • Resilience and adaptability in dynamic or high-pressure environments.
  • Cultural competence and the ability to work effectively with diverse communities.
  • Lived experience of living with a disability is highly regarded.
  • A valid, unrestricted driver’s licence.
