What you’ll do

We are looking for a Program Analyst to be the analytical engine behind our Group Transformation portfolio. In this role, you cross the line from data tracker to strategic partner. You will establish the "source of truth" to measure program success, ruthlessly tracking delivery velocity, resource utilization, and financial benefits. If you know how to dismantle bottlenecks, enforce sharp governance, and turn complex data into a roadmap for decision-making, this role is for you.

  • Guard the Critical Path: Maintain the master schedule and proactively challenge workstream leads on any plan slippage.

  • Drive Delivery Cadence: Run program meetings and craft high-quality SteerCo packs, translating complex updates into executive-ready narratives and clear actions.

  • Own Sub-Projects: Independently lead low-complexity workstreams and sub-projects from concept to successful execution.

  • Uncover Insights & Value: Analyze portfolio data to spot delay trends, recommend solutions, and validate that financial and non-financial benefits are tracking to plan.

  • Drive Risk Mitigation: Actively manage the RAID register, holding risk owners accountable to concrete, dated mitigation actions.

  • Protect Dependencies: Map cross-project dependencies and escalate operational blockers to the Program Manager with clear "path to green" solutions.

  • Facilitate Problem-Solving: Run targeted workshops to unblock delivery issues and ensure seamless communication between core teams and stakeholders.

  • Guarantee Quality Gates: Coach the team on delivery standards and rigorously review stage-gate documentation to ensure high first-time SPO approval rates.

What you’ll bring

You bring a sharp blend of project lifecycle expertise (Waterfall and Agile) and financial acumen (Capex/Opex), with a proven track record of managing schedules, dependencies, and complex benefits realization. An investigative problem solver and master of PPM tools and PowerBI, you don't just report data—you validate it, uncover systemic bottlenecks, and translate raw information into compelling executive narratives.

  • 2+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Commercial Finance, or a Senior PMO Analyst role.

  • Experience working within a large-scale transformation program or complex corporate environment (e.g., Retail or FMCG).

  • Demonstrated experience leveraging project and portfolio management tools (e.g., Wave, Planview, Smartsheet) to drive visibility, automate reporting, and maintain a "single source of truth."

  • Strong commercial background with proven experience in financial modelling, benefits realisation tracking, and variance analysis.

  • Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) and a track record of presenting technical data to non-technical stakeholders.

What you’ll experience

  • A global business with endless career possibilities around every corner and across every discipline – with valuable exposure to a vast and exciting business network.

  • Team discounts across our range of Woolworths Group brands you know and love and a robust rewards program that celebrates and incentivises purpose-driven work.

  • 12 weeks paid parental leave for primary caregivers plus paid superannuation for up to 12 months while the Team Member is on parental leave - eligible from the first day of employment.

  • A range of programs to help you prioritise and manage your wellbeing, including 24/7 access to the Sonder app. A progressive and competitive leave policy that gives you more space for what matters to you.
