About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a leading organisation delivering critical infrastructure and services across Western Australia.

Working closely with divisional leaders, you will provide strategic financial support through budgeting, forecasting, business case development, commercial analysis, and performance reporting. This role is ideal for a commercially focused finance professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders to drive business performance and influence decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to prepare budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial plans
  • Provide management accounting support and financial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions
  • Prepare and review business cases, including financial modelling, NPV and IRR analysis
  • Monitor budget performance and provide recommendations on variances and corrective actions
  • Develop management reporting packs and KPI analysis to drive business performance
  • Support pricing activities, tenders, and commercial evaluations
  • Deliver actionable insights through financial and operational data analysis
  • Drive process improvement, automation, and cost optimisation initiatives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to improve financial literacy and commercial outcomes

Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline
  • CA/CPA qualified or working towards
  • Proven experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Experience preparing business cases and financial models
  • Exposure to ERP systems and business intelligence tools
  • Previous experience partnering with senior stakeholders

  • Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and management accounting experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems capability
