We're partnering with a leading proprietary trading firm to hire a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a high-performing technology team supporting mission-critical trading infrastructure across global markets.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Linux engineer to take ownership of low-latency infrastructure, automation initiatives, and large-scale engineering projects within a highly technical trading environment.
What You'll Do
• Design, build, and optimise Linux server and workstation environments
• Support and scale latency-sensitive trading infrastructure across global data centres
• Drive Infrastructure-as-Code and automation initiatives across the technology estate
• Lead capacity planning, disaster recovery, and high-availability engineering
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and performance issues across Linux and networking environments
• Deploy and support physical trading infrastructure including servers, racks, and colocation environments
• Own infrastructure projects from design through to implementation
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices
• Bridge on-premise trading systems with cloud infrastructure environments
Qualifications
• 8+ years' experience in Linux Systems Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering
• Strong Linux administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting expertise
• Experience supporting high-performance or low-latency environments
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and infrastructure services
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet
• Strong Python and Bash scripting skills
• Experience with Kubernetes, Podman, or containerised platforms
• Exposure to AWS or GCP cloud environments
• Experience working within data centres and physical infrastructure environments
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and project ownership skills
