Financial Auditor

An exciting opportunity exists for an Auditor to join a high-performing Financial Audit team focused on strengthening accountability, transparency and performance across the Victorian public sector. It is a VPS 3 role, a 3 months contract role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of financial audits and assurance activities, ensuring quality outcomes are achieved within agreed timeframes.
• Analyse financial information and identify key risks, issues and areas for improvement.
• Prepare audit documentation, findings and recommendations supported by evidence.
• Present audit observations and conclusions to team members and stakeholders.
• Apply auditing standards, methodologies and professional judgement throughout engagements.

You will bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Science, Technology or a related discipline.
• Current progress towards, or eligibility for, CPA, CA ANZ or IPA membership.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
• Experience working as an Auditor
