Senior Tester

We are seeking four experienced Senior Test Engineers to join a critical technology transformation program supporting Australia's energy market operations.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing, including test design, execution, reporting, and defect management.
• Proven experience in a senior testing role within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong experience developing and executing test strategies and test plans.
• Experience testing web-based applications, client-server applications, APIs, and database solutions.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Playwright and Postman.
• Experience with automated testing using C# or similar programming languages.
• Experience using source control systems and CI/CD testing practices.
• Strong experience with Jira, PractiTest, or similar test management tools.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and technical teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Desirable

• ISTQB or equivalent professional testing certification.
• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience within power systems, energy markets, utilities, or critical infrastructure environments.
• Understanding of Western Australia's Energy Transformation Strategy (ETS) and Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) reforms.
• Experience creating user documentation, process maps, and operational procedures.
• Experience leading testing activities across large-scale IT projects.
