Sirrom is a national provider of hospitality, accommodation and support services to the mining and resources sector. With operations spanning multiple states and continued contract growth across Western Australia, the business is entering an exciting phase of expansion.

As part of this growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of the WA finance function and partner closely with operational leadership to drive commercial performance.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Group CFO and working closely with leadership, you will oversee all financial operations across a fast-growing division expected to generate approximately $100m in revenue this financial year, with significant growth forecast beyond.

This is a highly visible role where you will be relied upon not only for accurate financial reporting, but also for providing commercial insights that influence operational and strategic decision-making.

Leading a small local finance team, you will act as the key finance partner to the WA business, helping leaders understand contract performance, profitability, risks and opportunities across a diverse portfolio of mining and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end, management reporting and forecasting processes for the WA division
  • Partner closely with operational leaders to drive financial performance across multiple sites
  • Analyse contract profitability, project performance and commercial outcomes
  • Deliver budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling activities
  • Provide meaningful commercial insights to support business decisions
  • Lead and mentor a small finance team
  • Work collaboratively with the broader national finance function on group initiatives and reporting requirements
  • Drive process improvements and strengthen financial controls as the business continues to scale

About You

You are likely a CA or CPA qualified Finance Manager or Finance Business Partner who enjoys operating close to the business and brings leadership capabilities.

You bring a strong blend of technical finance capability and commercial acumen, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders and challenge thinking when required.

You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment where accountability is high, deadlines matter, and commercial outcomes are front and centre.

Experience

  • CA or CPA qualification
  • Experience in Finance Manager, Commercial Manager, Senior Finance Business Partner or similar roles
  • Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting capability
  • Commercial finance experience gained within project, contracting, construction, resources, industrial services or related sectors
  • Proven stakeholder management and business partnering skills
  • Advanced Excel capability and ERP experience (NetSuite is in place)
  • Experience leading or mentoring finance staff
