The Role

Salter Brothers Hospitality is seeking a creative, culturally connected Social Media Executive to bring our portfolio of luxury hotels / retreats, restaurants and experiences to life across digital platforms.

Working closely with our Senior Content Manager, you’ll play a hands on role in ideating, capturing and delivering engaging, platform first content that drives brand awareness, audience growth and guest visitation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a social first storyteller who thrives on trends, understands what cuts through, and loves hospitality.

We are accepting applications from both Brisbane and Sydney.

The role and responsibilities

  • Create and publish high-quality, engaging content across Instagram, TikTok and emerging platforms
  • Capture social-first content on-site across our venues using mobile and professional equipment
  • Edit content using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite and native platform editors
  • Collaborate on content strategies that grow reach, engagement and followers
  • Identify trends, audio and cultural moments to maximise performance
  • Contribute fresh, creative concepts that inspire audiences to visit and book
  • Build and manage relationships with creators and influencers, including hosted experiences
  • Support end-to-end content production, including briefing, shoots and delivery
  • Assist with content planning, scheduling and day-to-day channel management
  • Monitor performance and provide insights to continuously optimise results

Essential criteria required to thrive in this role

  • 2–4 years’ experience in social media, content or creative roles ideally from within luxury hospitality, travel, tourism or lifestyle brands
  • Proven ability to shoot and edit content across mobile and professional formats
  • Strong knowledge of Instagram, TikTok and emerging platforms
  • A sharp creative eye and storytelling ability
  • Proficiency in CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite and social tools
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
