Procurement and Contracts Officer

We are seeking an experienced ICT Procurement & Contracts Officer to join a Queensland Government organisation on an initial 12-month contract.

Working within a collaborative procurement team, you will play a key role in delivering end-to-end ICT procurement and contract administration activities across a diverse portfolio of technology projects and operational initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys managing complex procurement processes, engaging with senior stakeholders and ensuring procurement outcomes align with Queensland Government policies and frameworks.

Reporting to the Procurement & Contracts Manager, you will work closely with ICT leadership and vendor management teams to support a range of procurement activities, from business-as-usual sourcing through to high-value and complex ICT procurement projects.

Key responsibilities include

  • Managing end-to-end ICT procurement activities
  • Preparing procurement strategies, evaluation plans and tender documentation
  • Supporting RFQ and ITO processes through to contract award
  • Assisting stakeholders with scope development and procurement planning
  • Facilitating evaluation activities and contract negotiations
  • Preparing briefing notes and procurement recommendations for senior leadership
  • Managing contract administration activities, including variations and extensions
  • Maintaining procurement records and documentation
  • Liaising with finance, shared services and vendors to support procurement operations

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end ICT procurement activities
  • Strong knowledge of Queensland Government procurement frameworks and policies
  • Experience managing complex ICT sourcing and contract administration activities
  • Experience developing tender documentation, evaluation plans and contract documentation
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Highly Regarded

  • Recent ICT procurement experience within Queensland Government
  • Experience using QITC contract templates
  • Experience with SAP and SharePoint Online
  • Experience supporting ICT contracts, software renewals and technology procurement initiatives
