Primary objective

Provide high-level and timely expert advice, executive and administrative support to the Regional Executive Director Central Australia

Region, NT Health.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Facilitate management of and provide expert advice and support on emergent and diverse issues, organisational complexity, policy

and administrative processes as appropriate.

2. Provide high-level administrative and secretariat support to Steering Committees, Sub-Committees and working groups.

3. Act as a first point of contact for advice and issues management for the Office of Regional Executive Director, CA Region.

4. Provide high-level research, analysis and strategic advice to the Regional Executive Director, Central Australia Region.

5. Prepare a range of communications, letters, memos, reports, briefings, business cases, correspondence, recommendation in

conjunction with General Managers, Directors and other managers in the Central Australia Region and NT Health.

6. Develop and maintain strong working relationships and collaborative partnerships with a range of stakeholders and provide advice and

support to achieve outcomes through high level communication with agency divisions, Government agencies and external

stakeholders.

7. Oversee, coordinate and support administrative staff in the Office of the Regional Executive Director, Central Australia Region.

8. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to

ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.

9. Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practices and role modelling behaviour.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Extensive experience in providing high-level secretarial and executive support services and advice, including the ability to identify

issues, solutions and continuous improvement opportunities that deliver on corporate and strategic objectives.

2. Demonstrated leadership and communication skills to effectively engage with key stakeholders at all levels, including proven ability to

influence and negotiate successful outcomes across a range of audiences.

3. Proven extensive organisational and management skills to manage multiple and competing priorities within critical

timeframes/deadlines, within a busy and complex work environment.

4. Highly developed written communication and report writing skills, including the ability to analyse, prepare and edit a wide range of

correspondence and reports with a high level of attention to detail.

5. Demonstrated high degree of judgement and the ability to understand the broader operating environment and deal appropriately with

matters of a highly sensitive or political nature.

6. Proven high-level initiative and motivation, ability to work autonomously, exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality, problem solve

and make appropriate decisions at the delegated level of responsibility.

Desirable

1. Experience in providing executive level support in a Health system environment.

2. Experience in writing/drafting high-level reports and communications, or ability to develop quickly.
