Cost and Schedule Analyst (CSA)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost and Schedule Analyst (CSA) to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining project plans and schedules, producing reports and data summaries, and ensuring alignment between the Project Schedule and Earned Value Management System (EVMS). Your work will directly support management decision-making and help keep complex projects on track.

Key Responsibilities

  • Refine and maintain the Contract Master Schedule (CMS) ensuring that project deliverables are achievable in accordance with the contractual baselines, agreed scope, cost, time and quality.
  • Facilitate planning workshops with functional leads and coordinate across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Monitor project performance metrics and ensure resources align with schedule and budget constraints.
  • Maintain data alignment between CMS and EVMS on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare monthly reports on schedule progress, staffing needs, and scope adjustments.
  • Develop project status reports and attend progress meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Integrate partner, subcontractor, and customer schedules.
  • Assist in implementing EVMS to meet Department of Defence requirements.
  • Produce resource forecast plans and support capacity planning and quantitative risk analysis.

About You

  • Experience in project scheduling and planning.
  • Previous experience in ASDEFCON environments
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Open Plan Professional (OPP), Primavera, or Microsoft Project.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, multi-tasked environment and meet deadlines independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Tertiary or trade qualification in a relevant discipline.

Desirable

  • Accreditation or training in project management.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting tools; exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is highly regarded.

Eligibility

  • To be successful in this role, you will need to be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security clearance up to NV1 ( must be an Australian Citizen). Eligibility criteria can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
