An opportunity has presented itself for a Terminal Controller to join our team in Acacia Ridge QLD.

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will:

• Coordinate and manage all rail movements within the terminal, ensuring safety at all times.
• Monitor train movements using panel systems and train graphs.
• Communicate with train crews, external controllers, and operational stakeholders to direct movements.
• Implement daily train plans while adapting to changing operational requirements.
• Manage contractor and visitor activity within the terminal.
• Ensure safe arrivals and departures by confirming routing and track availability.
• Respond to incidents and support emergency management processes.
• Maintain accurate operational records and data in relevant systems.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in a safety-critical, logistics, rail, or operational control environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders
• Proven ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
• Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving capability
• Experience in planning, coordination, or control-based roles
• Intermediate computer skills (including Excel and operational systems)
• A commitment to safety and continuous improvement

Experience in rail operations or Safe Working qualifications will be highly regarded.
