About This Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapy student to gain practical experience within a busy acute healthcare setting while being supported by experienced allied health professionals. Working as part of the Occupational Therapy Acute Team, you will contribute to high-quality patient care and continue developing your clinical skills through on-the-job learning and professional supervision.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Supporting the delivery of safe, patient-centred care
  • Assisting with clinical assessments and treatment activities under supervision
  • Providing education and support to patients and families
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and administrative records
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes
  • Participating in quality improvement, training and professional development activities

About You

You are a motivated Occupational Therapy student who is passionate about improving patient outcomes and developing your clinical skills within a supportive healthcare environment. You will demonstrate:

  • Current enrolment in a recognised Australian Occupational Therapy degree program
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Compassionate and respectful approach to patient care
  • Commitment to learning, professional development and continuous improvement
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Logan Hospital

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
