RFQTS relevance

Rate guidance

Maximum rate: $200/hour including super

Azooa recommended winning rate: below $150/hour including super

Azooa recommends bidding below the maximum rate to improve competitiveness and increase the chances of securing the role. Given this is a shorter engagement, the client may still consider higher rates where the candidate has strong Defence, architecture, data analytics, security advisory, current clearance or niche domain experience. However, final competitiveness will be driven by the market and the strength of available candidates.

As a guide:

  • Below $150/hour including super: strongest target range for win probability
  • $150–$175/hour including super: still potentially competitive for strong Defence / security architecture experience
  • $175–$200/hour including super: may be considered for highly specialised candidates, but will need strong justification

Higher rates may still be considered where niche skills, current clearance, strong Defence experience or strong domain fit outweigh rate competitiveness.

Please provide your expected hourly rate including super.
