Help us deliver a better tomorrow
Australia Post is delivering for all Australians. From the vehicles that we drive, to the small businesses that make our communities thrive. We’re delivering for the environment, for our communities, for our customers and for our people. We’re moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.
About the opportunity
Join our Industrial Relations and Reform team as a Compliance Program Coordinator, where you’ll play a key role in strengthening payroll governance and compliance across Australia Post Group. This is an opportunity to be at the centre of important enterprise-wide work, helping ensure labour and entitlement risks are clearly identified, tracked, resolved and evidenced.
You’ll work across Payroll, Industrial Relations, Legal, Finance and external partners to support fair, accurate and compliant pay outcomes, while contributing to more consistent, transparent and technology-enabled compliance practices.
What you’ll deliver with us
In this role, you’ll help ensure payroll compliance and remediation programs are delivered with structure, discipline and clear accountability. You’ll support the organisation to demonstrate how compliance issues have been assessed and addressed, while helping embed repeatable processes that improve visibility, reduce risk and support better outcomes for our team members, customers and communities.
You’ll also
- Coordinate payroll governance, compliance and remediation activity across multiple workstreams, ensuring actions, timelines, dependencies and outcomes are clearly tracked.
- Maintain compliance registers, issue logs, remediation trackers and supporting documentation to provide accurate visibility of risks, progress and outstanding actions.
- Prepare governance materials, including status reports, risk summaries, escalation papers and evidence packs to support audits, regulatory requests and external reviews.
- Work closely with Payroll, Industrial Relations, Legal, Finance and external advisers to align activity, remove blockers and progress issues through to resolution.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues, strengthening controls and using approved digital and AI-enabled tools to improve quality, productivity and service delivery.
About you
You’re a highly organised and detail focused coordinator who brings structure, discipline and follow through to complex work. You’re comfortable working across multiple teams, building trusted relationships and influencing outcomes without direct authority. With a strong sense of judgement, you know when to escalate risks or delays, and you take pride in maintaining clear records, reliable reporting and consistent ways of working.
You’ll also need
- Experience in program coordination within a large, complex organisation, ideally across multiple workstreams, stakeholders and dependencies.
- Experience in payroll, compliance, audit, risk or a structured governance or assurance environment.
- Strong issue tracking, documentation and record keeping skills, with high attention to detail and a focus on auditability.
- The ability to work with data to support reporting, risk visibility, issue tracking and progress updates.
How we’ll deliver for you
- We invest in you for the long-term, encouraging growth and creativity. We’ll help you develop your skills and steer along a career path that works for you.
- We invest in your personal wellbeing, recognise and reward you for your contribution to our success with our new Post Perks and more.
- Hybrid working environment, two days working from home
- Be part of a team that values trust, inclusivity, empowerment, and safety, and bring your authentic self to work every day.
