Senior Consultant

INAUTALENT

Are you a business-minded consultant who thrives at the intersection of data, technology, and client relationships? We're looking for a Senior Consultant to join a growing international consultancy with 25 years of expertise in IT consulting and digital transformation.

In this role, you'll be embedded within a major enterprise client environment in Sydney, acting as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders. You won't be writing code — you'll be translating complex data and technology outputs into clear, actionable business insights, and building the kind of long-term stakeholder relationships that drive real outcomes.

This is an individual contributor role with high visibility, high autonomy, and real strategic influence.

What you'll do

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to regional business leaders, providing strategic insights and business intelligence to support decisions on investments, resources, and priorities
  • Drive performance outcomes across specific business segments, with a focus on partner-led revenue, cloud adoption, and customer acquisition
  • Lead rhythm-of-business (ROB) cadences and monthly business reviews, ensuring consistent tracking of performance and forecasts
  • Integrate partner-led sales motions into core operations — supporting channel growth, renewals, and co-sell execution
  • Represent business interests in annual planning cycles, influencing segmentation, coverage models, and quota-setting with local market insights
  • Deliver compelling, data-driven storytelling in business reviews — creating scorecards and commentary that highlight opportunities
  • Monitor and analyse performance metrics across leading indicators such as renewal schedules and partner readiness
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, finance, partner, and sales teams to share best practices and drive consistency
  • Support agile planning with insights on growth propensity, wallet share, and cost-to-serve

Contract details

  • 1-year contract, renewable (approximately 80% of projects are renewed)
  • Hybrid — 1 to 2 days per week at the client's Sydney office, remainder remote
  • Target start: 1 July 2026
  • Reporting to two managers based in Bogotá and Seattle

Requirements

Technical Skills (functional level — you don't need to be a developer or data architect)

  • SQL and data analysis techniques (MySQL, Excel)
  • Power BI and DAX
  • Microsoft Copilot
  • Microsoft Fabric
  • Process management tools (e.g., Visio)
  • Nice to have: Power Automate, additional BI tools

Business Acumen

  • Strong business background with a genuine understanding of enterprise environments
  • Proven ability to translate data into business insights and technical outputs into business outcomes
  • Experience running or contributing to business reviews, forecasting, and performance reporting
  • Comfort working with metrics, scorecards, and KPIs in a structured operational cadence

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills — you can tell a story with data
  • Strong stakeholder management — comfortable engaging senior leaders across functions
  • Highly proactive and autonomous — you take initiative without waiting to be told
  • Consulting mindset — client-first, solutions-oriented, adaptable

Experience & Education

  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience (strong preference for profiles closer to 7 years)
  • Bachelor's degree required — Business Administration preferred; Industrial Engineering or related field also considered
  • Exposure to the Education or Not-for-profit sectors is a strong plus
  • Must be based in Sydney, Australia and available to start as soon as possible (max. 2 weeks notice)

Benefits

The role

  • Work at the forefront of innovation — exposure to Data, Automation, AI, and Modern Workplace technologies in a real enterprise environment
  • High-autonomy position with genuine strategic influence — this is not a task-execution role
  • Consulting-focused, not technical delivery — strong emphasis on client interaction, business advisory, and long-term stakeholder success
  • ~80% project renewal rate — strong continuity and long-term engagement potential
  • Business Development Incentive: earn a percentage of any new business you bring in, on top of your base salary

Compensation

  • AUD $115,000 – $150,000 base salary (annual)

The company

  • International, diverse team spread across Sydney, Houston, Bogotá, Seattle, and Miami
  • Recognised as a Great Place to Work
  • Strong commitment to Diversity & Inclusion
  • Flexible, family-friendly culture
  • High autonomy, no micromanagement — approachable and supportive leadership
