Registered Nurse - Community Care

We have a casual opportunity available for Registered Nurses supporting our clients within the Rockhampton region.

Your Role

As a Registered Nurse you’ll be looking after the most important people in our organisation – our clients. You will provide high-quality, evidence-based care across all age groups within the community, supporting a variety of clinical needs including complex wound care, palliative care, medication administration and chronic disease management. Your tasks will include:

  • Initial assessment of client needs and implementation of ongoing care, including coordination, case management and care planning

  • Delivering holistic, client-centred care in consultation with clients, families and the multidisciplinary team

  • Monitoring, evaluating and documenting client progress in line with professional and legal standards

  • Administering and reviewing medications, treatments and clinical interventions

  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and making referrals as required to support client outcomes

  • Maintaining accurate, timely documentation and contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives

Role Requirements

  • Proof of immunity, or willingness to become vaccinated against, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (Chicken Pox) and Pertussis (Whooping Cough)

  • Current National Police Check (with validity in the past 3 years)

  • Current (P) PAID NDIS Worker Clearance

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

  • Current Queensland driver’s licence

  • Current CPR Certificate

  • Good computer and mobile device skills
