Labour Hire Contract | Security Sensitive Construction Projects

We are seeking experienced and reliable Site Security Observers to join a specialist construction security workforce supporting high-security infrastructure and construction projects.

This unique opportunity will see you working within a disciplined, team-based environment, providing security oversight and assurance throughout the construction lifecycle. You will play a critical role in monitoring site activities, maintaining security controls, identifying potential risks, and ensuring compliance with established security requirements.

Working alongside experienced security professionals, you will contribute to the protection of people, information, assets and infrastructure across a range of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and observe personnel, contractors and visitors within designated work areas
  • Conduct security oversight of construction activities and site operations
  • Inspect materials, tools and equipment entering and leaving worksites
  • Identify, report and escalate security incidents, breaches or suspicious activity
  • Operate and monitor security systems including CCTV, alarms and access control systems
  • Maintain accurate security logs, records and reports
  • Support compliance with security procedures, site requirements and safety protocols
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-person operational security team
  • Exercise sound judgement in dynamic and security-sensitive environments

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Experience within security, construction, defence, emergency services, law enforcement or related industries
  • Strong observation and situational awareness skills
  • Excellent written communication and reporting abilities
  • The ability to work effectively within structured operational teams
  • A professional approach with a high level of integrity and discretion
  • Sound understanding of workplace safety practices and risk management principles
  • The ability to remain focused and disciplined in fast-paced environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships

Essential Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be an Australian Citizen
  • Hold a current NV1 Security Clearance
  • Hold, or be willing to obtain prior to commencement:
    • Construction White Card
    • Working Safely at Heights
    • Working in Confined Spaces
    • Asbestos Awareness Training
    • Prevent Crystalline Silica Exposure Training

Physical Requirements

This role involves working within active construction environments and requires candidates who are able to:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Work in varying weather conditions
  • Navigate construction sites safely
  • Climb stairs and ladders where required
  • Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 30kg
