Role Detail

The Technology team provides the applications, infrastructure, systems, training and support to help deliver outstanding client service. At a top tier law firm, the expectations are high. The technology needs to be market leading, and the utilisation needs to be current. This role will help our people work and collaborate more efficiently by harnessing the tools and information they need to be productive in their own roles.

  • Based in the Sydney CBD office, reporting to the Technology Learning Manager, you will be part of the collaborative team responsible for technology training, change management, and communications for Mallesons in Australia and Singapore. This is a crucial role in ensuring the successful adoption and effective use of Mallesons's technology tools and platforms.
  • With your expertise in Microsoft 365 tools, generative AI (including Copilot), and other core technologies, you will develop and deliver technology adoption strategies, training programs, and communication plans to enhance digital literacy and streamline business processes.
  • You will design and deliver regular training sessions (virtual, in-person, and hybrid) as part of established and new training programs, and create self-service learning materials (including SharePoint sites, videos, guides, and tips). You will also work within cross-functional project teams to deploy new tools and technologies nationally. The training you provide as part of our fortnightly national new starter inductions, will ensure our people benefit from your expertise the moment they join the firm.
  • In this role, you will directly support the Sydney office while collaborating with the rest of the Technology Learning team and other stakeholders across Australia and Singapore.

About You

You will enjoy working in a high-performance culture in a fast-paced environment . Your exceptional stakeholder management and consulting skills will be an asset as you engage with the firm to understand how our people work and to help them move the dial in terms of their use of technology.

As with all similar roles, there is an element of change management to take our stakeholders through the change journey and adoption of technology. You will also bring:

  • Experience in developing and implementing technology adoption strategies
  • Expertise with and interest in the Microsoft 365 suite (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Viva Engage, Planner etc), Microsoft Copilot and generative AI tools. Knowledge of LegalTech and legal applications such as iManage, Elite, Intapp and Cosine Matter Planning is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of change management methodologies
  • Expertise in designing and delivering training courses and creating engaging self-guided learning materials (videos, e-learns)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, especially in presenting complex tech information
  • Ability to tailor communication to diverse audiences
  • Energetic, proactive, and customer-focused
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively, influence stakeholders, and manage multiple tasks
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment and Change Management qualifications (desirable)
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Technology, or Change Management
