An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Civil Designer to join a growing engineering consultancy with an established national presence and a strong pipeline of infrastructure and urban development projects across Queensland.
This position offers the chance to become a key member of a developing Brisbane team, where your technical expertise and project delivery experience will have a direct impact on both project outcomes and the continued growth of the business.
Working alongside experienced engineering professionals, you will be given the autonomy to lead design delivery, build client relationships, and contribute to a collaborative and high-performing culture.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Civil Designer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality civil design solutions across a diverse range of projects. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, clients, councils and service authorities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest technical standards.
Key responsibilities include
- Leading the delivery of civil design packages from concept through to detailed design
- Preparing design documentation using 12D and AutoCAD
- Coordinating with project teams, clients and external stakeholders
- Undertaking civil design for land development and infrastructure projects
- Ensuring compliance with Australian Standards, council requirements and industry best practice
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members where required
- Contributing to project planning, design reviews and quality assurance processes
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
- 7–10+ years of civil design experience within the Australian consulting environment
- Advanced proficiency in 12D and AutoCAD
- Strong experience delivering civil infrastructure and/or urban development projects
- Drainage design experience will be highly regarded
- Excellent understanding of Queensland council standards and approval processes
- Knowledge of service authority requirements and construction standards
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
