This role can be based in Brisbane or Sydney.

THE ROLE

Reporting directly into the Head of ER you will be working within a small team of 4. Responsibilities include:

  • Lead enterprise agreement negotiations with employee representatives, unions, and key stakeholders.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in Employee and Industrial Relations, providing expert advice and ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships across the People Team, Operations, and wider business stakeholders.
  • Lead ER/IR projects, including the development of tools, systems, and processes, supported by employee data analysis and insights.
  • Support Employee Relations matters including Fair Work Commission processes, and provide IR input into bids, tenders, and operational leadership support.

THE CANDIDATE

To be successful in this role, you will bring experience working within a contractual and commercial environment, ideally in a similarly sized organisation. You will have a background in Employee Relations and Industrial Relations, including experience engaging with unions and supporting enterprise agreement negotiations. A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or Business Law is required.

You will be confident working both autonomously and as part of a collaborative team, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure. Strong communication and time management skills are essential, along with a flexible and adaptable approach. You will demonstrate sound judgement and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience supporting ER/IR matters, including Fair Work Commission processes and providing input into bids and tenders, will be highly regarded.
