The Director, Finance Control and Business Services is charged with driving the effective management and execution of the financial accounting, risk and compliance, and procurement functions, and championing continuous process improvement and financial & business system improvements for Renewal SA.

This role works collaboratively as part of the director leadership team and will challenge the status quo to implement improvements to achieve a best practice, serviced-based culture across the Renewal SA portfolio whilst maintaining the highest levels of financial expertise, compliance, and reporting.

Key responsibilities

  • Providing confident leadership to inspire and motivate the financial accounting, risk and compliance, and procurement teams to achieve the organisational objectives.
  • Driving systematic improvements across the business to reporting and forecasting ensuring accounting obligations are met with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Providing advice across the organisation and fostering relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally including acting as the primary contact for Auditor General Department.
  • Integrating and leading finance and procurement strategy into the organisational culture for Renewal SA ensuring best practice service delivery and value-for-money outcomes to support Renewal SA’s ambitious agenda.

About You

The right person for this role will drive high levels of performance and accountability amongst teams and team members and manage and improve Renewal SA’s internal financial control environment.

You will have appropriate tertiary qualifications in a business/finance/accounting discipline. Post graduate qualifications including CA/CPA along with experience in government and/or in a property/contracting environment will be viewed favourably.
