About Motion Collective

Motion Collective is a Sydney video production company specialising in brand storytelling, creative advertising and corporate marketing.

We create high-quality marketing content, from brand films and online ads to corporate case studies, event content and explainer videos, with a strong focus on quality, reliability and professional service.

About the role

We’re looking for a detail-driven and organised Video Editor to join the Motion Collective team in a post-led role.

This is a full-time, office-based role at our Brookvale studio, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable working in person as part of the team.

This role is focused on editing, post-production workflow, versioning, delivery and helping maintain a high standard across Motion Collective’s video output.

Over time, there is an opportunity for this person to become the key post-production lead in the business, helping shape workflows, maintain quality standards and support other editors or freelancers as the team grows.

You’ll work across corporate, branded and story-led content, including interviews, panel discussions, announcements, case studies, social content, brand films and online ads.

The role would suit someone with solid editing experience who can organise footage properly, shape edits through to delivery, and bring polish to pacing, structure, audio, colour and graphics.

Much of our work sits in the corporate space, so the right person will be comfortable working on practical, detail-driven client projects, multiple feedback rounds and polished delivery work, as well as more creative brand-led content.

What you’ll do

  • Ingest, organise, sync and back up footage
  • Create selects, assemblies, rough cuts and polished final edits
  • Edit corporate videos, branded stories, interviews, announcements, panel discussions, case studies and social content
  • Handle music searches, sound design, colour correction, audio clean-up and basic motion graphics as part of the edit process
  • Prepare captions, exports, review links and versioned deliverables with strong attention to detail
  • Manage feedback rounds and keep edit versions organised
  • Check exports carefully before delivery
  • Improve folder structures, naming conventions, templates, checklists and export processes
  • Support internal marketing content, case studies, BTS edits, social content and spec work

What we’re looking for

The right person will bring strong post-production judgement, attention to detail and pride in delivering polished work.

You’ll need to be organised, reliable, proactive and comfortable working across both creative and technical parts of post-production. You should communicate well, handle feedback calmly and keep edits moving without constant hand-holding.

Essential

  • Solid experience editing video content in a production, post-production, content or creative environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Experience editing corporate, branded or story-led video content
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of file management and backup workflows
  • Experience organising footage, sequences, versions and exports
  • Experience with captions and versioned deliverables
  • Colour correction and audio clean-up skills
  • Basic After Effects or motion graphics capability
  • Good communication skills and a professional manner
  • Ability to follow a brief and work within established workflows
  • Positive attitude and pride in work

Highly regarded

  • Experience working within a production company, post-production company or marketing agency
  • Stronger After Effects or motion graphics skills
  • Interest in AI tools and post-production workflows
  • Understanding of production workflows and how footage is captured

Who this role would suit

You might currently be working as a video editor, mid-weight editor, editor/content producer or hybrid editor/producer and be looking for a role with more ownership and variety.

You’ll enjoy this role if you love editing and post-production, care about polish and detail, are comfortable with feedback rounds and client-led projects, and like creating systems that make work smoother.

What we offer

  • Full-time, office-based role in a growing Brookvale-based video production business
  • Salary of $80,000 – $105,000 + super, depending on experience
  • Ownership across editing, post-production workflow and delivery
  • Opportunity to work on projects for well-known brands and organisations
  • Clear opportunity to grow into a senior post-production role as the business continues to scale
  • A calm, friendly and professional working environment
