Join our team and play a key role in partnering with leaders across Council to deliver strategic and operational HR support. What your day will look like

  • Partnering with leaders to understand and support their strategic priorities
  • Providing expert advice on employee and industrial relations matters
  • Interpreting industrial instruments, employment legislation and Council policies
  • Supporting organisational change initiatives, including position and departmental restructure proposals
  • Conducting workplace investigations and assisting with complex people matters
  • Identifying opportunities to improve HR processes, systems and service delivery
  • Supporting compliance, governance and best-practice people management across Council

What you’ll bring

You are a confident and collaborative HR professional with a strong foundation in employee and industrial relations. You enjoy building trusted relationships, navigating complex situations and delivering practical, commercially sound advice.

You’ll have:

  • Working knowledge of Industrial and employee relations
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, able to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • A high level of computer literacy with the ability to learn council systems
