The Australasian Corrosion Association (ACA) is a not-for-profit membership association dedicated to advancing the understanding, prevention, and control of corrosion across Australia and New Zealand. Through training, conferences, seminars, publications, and networking opportunities, ACA supports professionals and organisations in managing corrosion sustainably and cost-effectively to protect people, assets, and the environment.
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Membership Officer to drive membership, membership offers, support our members and contribute to the ongoing growth and success of ACA. This role combines membership administration, CRM management, reporting, marketing support, and stakeholder engagement within a collaborative and flexible working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage membership applications, renewals, resignations, and member enquiries.
- Serve as the primary contact for members, branches, committees, and stakeholders on membership-related matters.
- Maintain accurate membership records and ensure data quality across Salesforce and related systems.
- Monitor renewals, follow up outstanding payments, and generate reports for branches and stakeholders.
- Support member engagement initiatives and improve the overall member experience and member growth initiatives.
- Troubleshoot member portal access and system-related issues.
- Review and develop marketing materials content and coordinate email campaigns through Mailchimp and social media.
- Maintain and enhance corporate member listings and directories.
- Assist with events, branch activities, technical groups, meetings, and special projects as required.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and operational efficiency.
- Understand ACA Membership, drive member reporting, and look for opportunities to increase value to members.
About You
- Experience in membership, customer service, administration, stakeholder engagement, or association environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.
- Proficiency in Excel for reporting, analysis, and data management.
- Experience with Canva, Mailchimp, or similar marketing tools is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive and collaborative approach with a focus on delivering exceptional member service.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents, or hold valid Australian working rights. Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory National Police Check.
