Verra Mobility is a global technology company supporting safer, smarter and more connected mobility. In Australia, our Government Solutions business delivers technology, software and operational services that support road safety programs.

We are seeking a Project Manager to coordinate the delivery of software and technology projects across company Operations. The role works with software engineering, product, operations, account management and customer stakeholders to manage project plans, delivery tracking, release coordination, risks, dependencies and project communication.

A full time, hybrid, and permanent role working from home and South Melbourne.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate assigned software and technology projects from planning through to delivery.
  • Maintain project plans, status reports, RAID logs, action registers and dashboards.
  • Work with software engineering, product, operations and customer-facing teams to keep delivery on track.
  • Support release planning, deployment readiness and post-release follow-up.
  • Track risks, issues, actions and dependencies, escalating early where required.
  • Support customer communication, scope control and project financial tracking.

What you'll bring

  • 3+ years' experience in project coordination or project management, ideally in software, IT or technology delivery.
  • Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban or hybrid delivery approaches.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet or similar.
  • Understanding of the software delivery lifecycle, including requirements, development, testing, release and change control.
  • Strong stakeholder communication, meeting facilitation, problem-solving and escalation judgement.
  • Ability to work effectively with software engineers, testers, product owners, operations teams and customer-facing stakeholders.
  • Exposure to enterprise software, APIs, databases, cloud platforms or regulated technology environments would be advantageous.

Qualifications

  • A tertiary qualification in information technology, software engineering, business, project management or a related discipline is preferred. Equivalent practical experience in software or technology project delivery will also be considered.
  • Project management certification such as Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2, PMP or similar would be advantageous, but is not essential.
