About The Position

We are seeking experienced Procurement Specialist for a Perth based role working a Monday to Friday roster. Working with the Lead Principal on the strategy and delivery of a national sourcing program, you will own the day-to-day direction and momentum of the program. This program represents a significant savings opportunity and requires a commercially minded, highly skilled communicator who can cut through ambiguity, build alignment, and drive timely decisions and action across a diverse stakeholder group to deliver sustainable value.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Develop and implement category strategies that identify, structure, and execute opportunities to drive commercial value while managing supply risk and delivering on safety and operational requirements.
• Reduce total cost of ownership by making informed risk trade-offs over the medium term and executing these through the sourcing cycle.
• Deliver value through factbased insights, strong analytics, contract expertise, and targeted strategic actions.
• Lead endtoend procurement activities, including requirements definition, baseline development, sourcing, negotiation, savings validation, contract execution, and contract management.
• Engage and influence stakeholders across Operations, ER, HSE, Procurement, Finance, and Legal to align priorities and deliver outcomes.
• Maintain awareness of external trends, including market dynamics, the IR landscape, innovation, and emerging risks.
• Challenge existing ways of working and facilitate decisions in complex, ambiguous, and competing priority environments.
• Communicate strategies clearly and effectively to all stakeholder levels, from senior leadership to frontline operations.

Skills And Experience

• Strong commercial acumen and proven negotiation experience
• Sound project management, problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to cut through complex data to provide clear recommendations and facilitate decisions
• Confidence to challenge established thinking and create process improvements, including developing frameworks and guidelines to ways of working
• Collaborative mindset to build alignment across functions and senior leaders
• Comfortable operating in fast paced settings with a continuous improvement mindset
