Purpose of the Role
BGIS is seeking an experienced
Finance Manager to support a major corporate health services portfolio, while also contributing to the wider BGIS finance function.
You will work closely with both client stakeholders and BGIS teams to manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, lease accounting, and audit requirements across the portfolio. While you will collaborate with wider finance and operational teams, you will be the primary owner of the financial outcomes and reporting integrity for the contract.
The ideal candidate will be confident working independently, commercially minded, and comfortable taking full accountability for financial performance and deliverables. Strong relationship management skills are essential, as is the ability to influence stakeholders and translate financial information into clear business insight.
Experience with IFRS16 lease accounting standards, along with exposure to property, facilities management, or corporate real estate environments, will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and month-end processes across the portfolio
- Support lease accounting obligations, including IFRS16 compliance activities
- Act as a key finance contact for client and internal stakeholders
- Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and financial controls
- Coordinate audit preparation and support compliance with accounting standards and contractual requirements
- Partner with operational teams to support financial planning and commercial outcomes
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies
- Support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Lease Administration activities in collaboration with shared services teams
- Build positive working relationships across the client portfolio and wider BGIS business
Education, Experience & Skills
Essential
- Proven experience in Finance or Accounting Management roles
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting capability
- Experience using ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities within a collaborative environment
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, or Finance
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial accounting and reporting (all levels encouraged to apply)
Desirable
- CA or CPA qualification
- Experience with IFRS16 lease accounting standards
- Experience within property, facilities management, or corporate real estate environments
- Exposure to integrated services or shared services models
Workplace Flexibility
This is a full-time permanent hybrid position, with 2 days working from home and 3 days based onsite (including
2 days at the client site and 1 day from the BGIS World Square office, both conveniently located in Sydney CBD close to public transport.
