Purpose of the Role
BGIS is seeking an experienced
Facilities Manager to oversee the delivery of maintenance services, contractor performance, and site operations across a large, dynamic, and fast-moving site environment.
Reporting to the Account Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient facilities operations while driving strong stakeholder engagement across both BGIS and client teams.
This role suits someone who enjoys a mix of structured responsibility and reactive problem-solving in a high-demand environment. You will be confident working with changing priorities, responding to client needs at short notice, and taking ownership of outcomes while maintaining calm, clear communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end facilities management services including maintenance coordination, contractor oversight, and site compliance
- Manage subcontractor performance to ensure safety, quality, and KPI achievement
- Support rapid resolution of asset outages and operational disruptions
- Oversee maintenance planning, quotes, scopes of work, and vendor engagement
- Ensure compliance with OHS&E, BGIS systems, and all legislative requirements
- Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication, reporting, and service delivery meetings
- Monitor financial performance across vendor contracts and support budget alignment
- Promote safe work practices using BGIS safety systems including BSAFE and Ideagen
- Support continuous improvement, sustainability initiatives, and operational efficiencies
Education, Experience & Skills
Essential
- Proven experience in Facilities Management, Property Services, or Maintenance Management within complex environments
- Trade qualification in technical discipline (post-trade qualifications highly regarded)
- Strong understanding of subcontractor management, maintenance delivery, and compliance frameworks
- Experience working with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office suite
- Strong financial and commercial awareness including budgeting and contractor performance tracking
- Confident communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to prioritise, problem-solve, and manage reactive workloads effectively
- Experience working within QA, OH&S, and environmental systems
Desirable
- Experience in large-scale or high-volume operational environments
- Exposure to alliance or collaborative contracting models
- Sustainability, energy efficiency, or ESD initiative experience
- Facilities Management qualification or additional industry training
Workplace Flexibility
This role is based full-time onsite at a large and dynamic
Epping-based site with free onsite parking and flexible start/finish times within core business hours.
