An excellent opportunity has become available for a Junior Customs Broker to join a well-established and growing international freight forwarding business based in Melbourne's logistics hub of Tullamarine.

Working within a supportive and experienced customs team, you will play a key role in managing import clearances, ensuring compliance with Australian Border Force requirements and supporting clients across a diverse range of commodities and industries.

This role is ideal for a licensed Customs Broker with 1-2 years of post-licensing experience looking to further develop their career within a professional and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge import declarations through CargoWise and ICS
• Ensure compliance with Australian Border Force and Department of Agriculture requirements
• Classify goods and determine applicable tariffs and duties
• Liaise with customers, shipping lines, freight forwarders and government authorities
• Manage customs clearance processes from lodgement through to release
• Assist with tariff advice, concessions and regulatory enquiries
• Resolve customs-related issues and provide exceptional customer service
• Maintain accurate records and compliance documentation

About You

• Licensed Customs Broker with 1-2 years' industry experience
• Strong understanding of Australian customs regulations and import processes
• Experience working within a freight forwarding or customs brokerage environment
• CargoWise experience highly regarded
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
